Organizers announced the route over the weekend in Des Moines.
The race will begin in Glenwood and end in Burlington. The bikers will make stops in Red Oak, Atlantic, Winterset, Knoxville, Ottumwa and Mount Pleasant on the way.
Organizers of the 51st Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa say it's one of the shortest and hilliest routes ever, with nearly 19,000 feet of climb.
